For the Wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas (or whole-wheat tortillas)

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1 medium tomato, diced

  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise or yogurt sauce

  • Optional: sliced olives, jalapeños, or pickles

Step 1: Cook the Beef

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add chopped onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until soft.

  3. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. Add ground beef; break it up with a spoon and cook until browned.

  5. Drain excess fat if needed.


Step 2: Season

  1. Add paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Stir in tomato paste and water/broth.

  3. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thick and juicy.

  4. Taste and adjust seasoning.


Step 3: Warm Tortillas

  • Heat tortillas in a dry pan or microwave for 10–15 seconds until soft and flexible.


Step 4: Assemble Wraps

  1. Place tortilla on a flat surface.

  2. Spread sauce in the center.

  3. Add cooked ground beef.

  4. Top with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and extras.

  5. Fold sides inward and roll tightly.


Step 5: Optional Toasting

  • Toast wrapped tortillas in a hot pan 1–2 minutes per side until golden and slightly crispy.
