Ingredients
Wonton Filling

½ lb (225 g) ground chicken, pork, or shrimp

1 green onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 clove garlic, minced

¼ teaspoon white or black pepper

1 teaspoon cornstarch
Wontons
-
30–35 wonton wrappers
Soup Broth

6 cups chicken broth

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

½ teaspoon grated ginger

1 clove garlic, smashed

Salt & white pepper, to taste
Garnish (Optional)

Chopped green onions

Fresh cilantro

Baby bok choy or spinach
Instructions
1. Make the Filling
In a bowl, mix ground meat, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, pepper, and cornstarch until well combined.
2. Assemble Wontons
Place 1 teaspoon filling in the center of each wrapper.
Moisten edges with water, fold into a triangle, seal, then bring corners together and press.
3. Prepare the Broth
Bring chicken broth to a gentle boil. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Reduce to simmer.
4. Cook the Wontons
Drop wontons into simmering broth. Cook 3–4 minutes until they float and filling is cooked through.
5. Add Greens
Add bok choy or spinach and cook 1 minute until wilted.
6. Serve
Ladle soup and wontons into bowls. Garnish with green onions and cilantro.
