Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup pizza or marinara sauce

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ¼ cup sliced pepperoni (or olives, mushrooms, bell peppers)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Optional topping: grated Parmesan & fresh basil


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. Season chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

  3. Arrange chicken in the baking dish in a single layer.

  4. Top with sauce evenly over each chicken breast.

  5. Add toppings: Sprinkle mozzarella, then add pepperoni or veggies.

  6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until chicken is cooked through (165°F / 74°C).

  7. Broil (optional) 2–3 minutes for bubbly, golden cheese.

  8. Garnish & serve hot with salad, pasta, or roasted veggies.

  • Low-carb: Serve with zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice

  • Extra cheesy: Mix mozzarella with provolone
