Bacon Wrapped Smokies are the perfect appetizer, snack, or meal! Make them for your next gathering or game day party and watch these quickly disappear!

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz.) package little smokies-I use Oscar Mayer
  • 12 slices center cut bacon-I use Oscar Mayer
  • 1/2 cup zero point brown sugar sweetener- I use Lakanto Monkfruit Golden Sweetener
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • Dash cayenne pepper, if desired

Instructions

      1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
      2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
      3. Cut the 12 bacon slices into thirds.
      4. Roll one piece of bacon around one little smokie and let the bacon overlap. Secure the bacon with a toothpick.Continue doing this to all of the little smokies.
      5. In a shallow bowl or dish pour in the brown sugar sweetener , garlic powder and a dash of cayenne pepper, if desired.
      6. Dip the little wrapped smokies intro the seasoning mix to cover.
      7. Place each Smokie with a piece of bacon on a baking sheet that is lined with foil.
      8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
      9. Remove from oven and allow them to slightly cook for a few minutes before serving.  Serve with these with the toothpicks or remove the toothpicks once they have cooled for a few minutes.

Makes 35 wrapped little smokies or 7 ( 5 wrapped little smokies) servings
