Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14–15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cooked rice, optional
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt, or to taste
  • ½ tsp chili flakes, optional
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, optional
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add ground beef and cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
  2. Add onion and bell peppers. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
  3. Add garlic, paprika, Italian seasoning, black pepper, salt, and chili flakes. Stir for 30 seconds.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20–25 minutes.
  6. Stir in cooked rice and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
