Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14–15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup cooked rice, optional
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt, or to taste
- ½ tsp chili flakes, optional
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, optional
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add ground beef and cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
- Add onion and bell peppers. Cook for 4–5 minutes until softened.
- Add garlic, paprika, Italian seasoning, black pepper, salt, and chili flakes. Stir for 30 seconds.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20–25 minutes.
- Stir in cooked rice and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
