  • You are free to add any mix-ins you choose like almonds coconut flakes or raisins.

WHIPPED CREAM:

  • I use unsweetened whipped cream. We can also use cream of coconut in this smoothie.

PROTEIN POWDER:

  • I use organic protein powder. If using this protein powder exclude the collagen peptides.

TIPS:

  • Use organic protein powder or collagen peptides. Add the one which is liked by you and you know the taste.
  • Berry mixes have different varieties and some contain more content of carbs than other frozen berries.
  • Always check the carb content of the berry mix before buying. Mine just has 4.5g of net carbs in it.
  • I use monk fruit because it blends well in the smoothie.
  • Don’t use Erythritol-based sweetener as it does not blend well with the smoothie and leaves the aftertaste.
  • Do not use over-ripe avocadoes in the smoothie; it gives a bad taste to the smoothie.

FAQs:

Is this dairy-free?

  • In this smoothie, almond milk or coconut milk is used which makes it dairy-free. You coconut cream if you want to avoid dairy completely.

Will we use any other sweetener in place of monk fruit?

  • The best sweetener is monk fruit as it dissolves easily within the smoothie. Other sweeteners do not dissolve well and leave an aftertaste.

Why do we add the avocado to the smoothie?

  • Avocado helps the smoothie to get thick and it also adds healthy fats and the smoothie do not taste like an avocado.
