Chicken Patties

  • 1½ lb (680 g) ground chicken
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

 Instructions

  1. Add ground chicken, feta, red onion, garlic, parsley, dill, oregano, paprika, cumin, and lemon juice to a large bowl.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, egg, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix gently until everything is just combined. Don’t overmix.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into thick patties.
  5. Refrigerate the patties for 15–20 minutes to help them hold their shape.
  6. Heat a lightly oiled skillet or grill over medium heat.
  7. Cook the patties for about 5–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
  8. Cook until the center reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. For the tzatziki, mix Greek yogurt, cucumber, dill, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  10. Let the sauce chill for 10–15 minutes.
  11. Serve the chicken patties with tzatziki, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, or inside toasted burger buns.
