Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced
  • 1½ lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 12 oz (340 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½–1 tsp salt, to taste
  • ½ cup chicken or beef broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes, optional
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare potatoes: Cut baby potatoes into halves or quarters. Boil in salted water for 7–10 minutes, until partially tender. Drain.
  2. Brown sausage: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large Dutch oven or deep skillet. Add sliced sausage and cook for 4–5 minutes, turning until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook vegetables: Add remaining oil, onion, and green beans. Cook for 4–5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Add potatoes: Stir in the potatoes, paprika, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Combine: Return the sausage to the pot. Add broth and butter, cover, and cook over medium-low heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Finish: Cook uncovered for another 3–5 minutes so the liquid reduces and coats everything in a savory glaze.
  7. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

This is a hearty one-pan combination commonly made with smoked sausage, potatoes, green beans, onions, garlic and herbs.
