Honey Glazed Salmon

Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley or sliced green onions

Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper to create the glaze.
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the glaze over them. Marinate the salmon in the glaze for about 15-20 minutes, turning the fillets halfway through.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
Once the salmon has marinated, remove it from the glaze and place it in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Reserve the remaining glaze for basting.
Air fry the salmon for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. Baste the salmon with the reserved glaze halfway through the cooking time.
Check the internal temperature of the salmon using a meat thermometer. The salmon should reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute or two before serving.
Drizzle any remaining glaze over the cooked salmon and garnish with chopped fresh parsley or sliced green onions, if desired.

Recipe Notes:
Salmon Fillets: Use fresh salmon fillets for the best results. Make sure they are patted dry before marinating to help the glaze stick better.
Marinating Time: Marinating the salmon helps infuse it with flavor. You can marinate for longer if you have the time, but avoid marinating for too long, as the acidity in the marinade can start to break down the fish’s texture.
Glazing and Basting: Basting the salmon with the glaze while cooking helps create a delicious, caramelized coating. Be careful not to overdo it, as the sugars in the glaze can burn.
Cooking Time: Cooking time can vary depending on the thickness of the fillets and the air fryer model. Adjust the cooking time accordingly to ensure your salmon is cooked to perfection.
Temperature: It’s essential to cook salmon to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
Skin-on or Skinless: This recipe is written for skin-on salmon fillets, which help protect the flesh during cooking. If using skinless fillets, you may need to adjust the cooking time slightly.
Serve with: This honey glazed salmon pairs well with a variety of side dishes such as steamed vegetables, rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad.
