- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp dried rosemary
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
These ingredients and the slow-cooker method are consistent with published garlic-butter pork chop recipes.
Instructions
- Season the pork: Pat the pork chops dry. Mix salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub over both sides.
- Sear: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
- Make the sauce: Mix melted butter, minced garlic, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.
- Slow cook: Place the pork chops in the slow cooker and pour the garlic-butter mixture over them.
- Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours. Pork should reach at least 145°F (63°C) internally.
- Finish: Remove the chops and spoon the buttery garlic sauce over them. Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Optional thicker sauce: Simmer the cooking liquid in a saucepan and add 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp cold water. Stir until glossy and slightly thickened.
