Best Low Point Greek Turkey Burgers
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. 99% ground turkey, 97% fat free ground turkey, or 93% ground turkey ( I use 97% ground turkey Butterball Everyday brand)
- 5 oz. fat free Feta cheese, crumbles
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 whole egg or 2 egg whites
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 5 low point hamburger buns or head of lettuce ( I use Great Value buns from Walmart for 3 PersonalPoints)
- Garnish with your favorite toppings such as: Zero Point Tzatziki Sauce, Feta cheese, onions, and/or tomatoes.
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and spray with non stick cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl combine, turkey, bread crumbs, egg, green onions, feta cheese, salt and pepper. Mix until all ingredients have been incorporated.
- Form meat mixture into six ( 6 oz.) rounded patties.
- Cook turkey burgers on preheated grill until meat is no longer pink in the center and juices run clear. Usually between 8-10 minutes per side.
- Serve on a low point bun or lettuce wrap and top with your favorite toppings such as : Zero Point Tzatziki Sauce, fat free Feta cheese, onions, and/or tomatoes.
