Best Low Point Greek Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. 99% ground turkey, 97% fat free ground turkey, or 93% ground turkey ( I use 97% ground turkey Butterball Everyday brand)
  • 5 oz. fat free Feta cheese, crumbles
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1 whole egg or 2 egg whites
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 5 low point hamburger buns or head of lettuce ( I use Great Value buns from Walmart for 3 PersonalPoints)
  • Garnish with your favorite toppings such as: Zero Point Tzatziki Sauce, Feta cheese, onions, and/or tomatoes.

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and spray with non stick cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine, turkey, bread crumbs, egg, green onions, feta cheese, salt and pepper. Mix until all ingredients have been incorporated.
  3. Form meat mixture into six ( 6 oz.) rounded patties.
  4. Cook turkey burgers on preheated grill until meat is no longer pink in the center and juices run clear. Usually between 8-10 minutes per side.
  5. Serve on a low point bun or lettuce wrap and top with your favorite toppings such as : Zero Point Tzatziki Sauce, fat free Feta cheese, onions, and/or tomatoes.
