Butter:
- We used whipped butter. Any type of butter or oil can be used.
Sausage:
- You can use chicken, turkey, or Italian sausage. Alternatively, you can use pork sausage.
Herbs:
- I prefer to use fresh herbs like sage and thyme for a refreshing and appealing flavor. You can add freshly minced flat-leaf parsley or rosemary.
Broth:
- Make sure to use only low-sodium store-bought broth.
Spices:
- I used simple black pepper and salt to season the dish. Additionally, you can use poultry seasoning.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Slice the French bread into cubes that are half an inch in size.
- Next, place the bread cubes on a pan and leave it to dry for an entire night.
- Alternatively, put the baking pan in an oven set to 350 degrees F.

- Place aside the baking pan after baking.
- After that, set the oven temperature to 375 degrees F.
- Drizzle some oil in a big baking tray.
- Apply it evenly with a cooking brush so that the tray is well misted on both sides.
- Next, add the butter to a nonstick skillet to warm.
- After that, add chopped celery and onion to this skillet.
- Sautee it for three to seven minutes.
- Transfer the sauteed vegetables to a dish and put aside.
- Now, add sausage to the same skillet.
- Split the sausage into tiny pieces using a wooden spoon.
- Simmer it for ten minutes or until cooked well.
- Shift the cooked sausage to the onions and celery bowl.
- Next, toss together the thyme, bread, and sage with the celery mixture in the bowl.
- Pour over the chicken broth so the bread soaks well in this mixture.
- Whisk well all items.
- Now, add black pepper and salt and adjust it according to the taste.
- Then, add this batter to the misted baking tray.
- Bake it for twenty-six to thirty minutes.
